Directly behind the Schützenhof starts a hiking trail through the Finsterbach canyon with 3 wonderful 20m-high waterfalls.
Here you can renew your energy and enjoy the sound rushing of water and the beautiful view over the valley.
If you are lucky, you may see one of the rare fire salamander here, especially in the morning or after it has rained.
The first waterfall can be reached in 5 minutes.
The small reservoir at the second waterfall feeds our own small power station.
The 100-year-old small power plant was recently restored. The historical
components have been preserved and combined with modern technology.
The third & highest waterfall, which resemles a bride´s viel, is a spectacle of nature. It can be reached in approximately 30 minutes.
